Don't Get Ill At Thanksgiving

By Kathy Forcey

At last Thanksgiving is over and you are ready to spend some money. You have saved your adverts and have perused them and planned and are all equipped to a full morning of shopping and getting offers. It is the annual day for any self respecting shopper to flex their debit cards.

Sadly, you have been sick with the H1N1 virus for a good amount of time but you feel a bit better currently. These bargains only come around once a year and there is not anyone else in your family who could possibly go in your place.

Now imagine that you are the individual who is hale and hearty. In the same scenario, would you position yourself in the situation of possibly becoming sick with the swine flu just to get great offers at the Thanksgiving events?

We all know the deals appear merely once a year, even though there are sure to be some wonderful prices both before and after thanksgiving this year as stores do all they can to get as much money as they can out of the conventional shopping holiday. But are these reductions really worth it to risk catching what may turn out to be a deadly disease for many Americans?

Like any illness some families are more at higher risk than others, if you are part of a young family or possibly you look after elderly parents, then your day after thanksgiving extravaganza could be putting their lives at risk. If you are reading this and just think you will wear a mask, well they have only been shown to be effective for approximately 30 minutes. So unless you are going to the shops with Super Woman you are positive to be out in the malls for considerably longer than half hour.

All is not lost! You clearly have access to a PC (or you couldn't read this) so why not take part in the cyber shopping craze that is growing every year?
