Drysol - No Good For The Armpits

By Arielle E. Kelk

Do you know Drysol is not good for your underarm pores? If you don't yet, it's time to snap out of your ignorant haze and read on, to understand why this should concern you.

Drysol manufacturers have long admitted their product will clog up your underarm's pores. In particular, using Drysol can create a situation where abscesses and other types of infection occur. This is because clogged pores make you prone to acne. When your pores are clogged, dead skin cells and oily substances start to build up. Without a question, you don't want this to happen under your arms.

Drysol's antibacterial properties eliminate bacteria, that much is true. At the same time, there is no such thing as an antibacterial element that will kill of every single microbe that may exist under your arms. Therefore, anyone that uses Drysol may wind up with infections, as well as rashes under the arms. When this happens, you'll find that Drysol causes more problems than it solves.

Now, some people think it's okay to use Drysol as long as they wash it off afterwards. But this won't work because Drysol seeps to your pores almost as soon as you put it on. This is what decreases sweating. The only way to remove Drysol from your body is through sweating. Your pores tunnel deep into the skin, so simply washing off Drysol will do nothing once absorption has started. For this reason, washing off Drysol after you've put it on won't work at all.

If you clog up a pore with Drysol, you can pretty well bet that it will be difficult to unclog it. The same principle that's at work on your bathroom and kitchen drains is at work on your armpit pores. Sadly, your body doesn't work exactly like the drain does because your pores won't stop pushing the sweat through your clogged pores. This can result in problems like swelling and much more. In the worst case scenario, bacteria will find its way to the swollen areas and cause abscess to form.

Anyone who has used Drysol will tell you it's not worth getting abscess for. When you have abscess, you'll need to spend time and money to treat it. Depending on the situation, the treatments for abscesses in the armpit can be uncomfortable as well as painful. Therefore, your best option is to avoid this product, as well as anything else that reduces sweating by clogging up pores. I urge you to reconsider before you try Drysol. It would be to your advantage to try other solutions first.
