Looking For Some Serious Sensitive Skin Care? Here's How.

By Peter Albertonach

If you've got sensitive skin it might be getting you down. If so I've got some sensitive skin care tips that I can share with you.

Because some people don't have sensitive skin and some people do have sensitive skin. And if it's you that has sensitive skin you might need to.

All that annoying blotchiness, redness, inflammation and itchiness can often be controlled.

And that's not to say sensitive skin conditions can be controlled simply for everyone, you may have a specific condition that you should consult a dermatologist for. But why not try some simple stuff first and see how it works for you.

The first thing sufferers of sensitive skin need to do is to have a look at your current cosmetics and skin care products. Because there are a whole lot of skin care products and anti aging products and cosmetics that can actually cause the problem of sensitive skin. All those face masks and blushes and creams and so on can actually be the problem.

On my website I write about the dangerous ingredients that are found in many big brand skin care products and cosmetics.

Here's an example. Parabens. Parabens is the name of a range of chemicals that are used extensively in many big brand skin care and anti aging products and cosmetics. They are very cheap and are used as a preservative. And parabens are listed in the cosmetics database as a hazard. 2 are listed as a hazard on a scale of 1 to 10 of at least a 7 or 8.

And there's no reason why the presence of parabens would not of itself cause sensitive skin problems. It may or may not, but it's worth asking the question.

Many big brand cosmetics and skin care products include similar or the same ingredients, and you may well find that if you change your cosmetic brand to a natural non allergenic cosmetic brand many, or all, of your sensitive skin problems go away.

And the first time I came across this it was a personal experience. My 8 year old daughter had her first ballet concert coming up and she got made up for it, as you do.

Within an hour or 2 her face had broken out in a huge rash, and at that point we decided to do something about the cosmetics she used.

So have a good look at your cosmetics and skin care products and if they're big brand name products from your local store then the chances are that they have some nasty ingredients in them and that itself could be causing sensitive skin care problems.

And there's more. Use low allergenic laundry detergents. Some contain ingredients that can cause skin reactions. And avoid washing pillow cases and anything else that your face goes on in regular laundry detergent. Make sure you rinse well and avoid fragrances, as these too can cause problems.

Fragrances can cause skin problems for people with any skin type, including oily and healthy skin.

And visit an allergy specialist, they can often determine exactly what it is that is causing a skin allergy or allergic reaction, and if you can isolate what it is then you can try and eliminate that ingredient. It may well be from your skin care products or cosmetics.

You need to try out a range of natural cosmetics and natural skin care products that may well fix your sensitive skin problem for you, if not then you need to keep looking.

Luckily it also turns out that the companies that make the best natural cosmetics and natural anti aging skin care products also make the best products. They are small niche companies making excellent products, and at very competitive prices too.

They're priced competitively because they don't spend huge amounts on TV advertising and so keep their costs right down. They rely on their products to sell themselves once people have tried them.

And you'll find that those big brand name products are made down to a price rather than up to a standard.

So there's some sensitive skin tips. If they don't work consult an expert like a good dermatologist, but just doing these things may well clear up your sensitive skin.

I talk more about the best natural skin care products and cosmetics on my website.
